Turn that COVID frown upside down

It goes without saying that this year has been terrible in lots of ways. People have lost loved ones, people have lost jobs and the hospitality industry is barely scraping by. But, and there is a but and i will get to that later.

Although it has been an extremely tough year for us here at Grate HQ, we still have our health and a roof over our head and luckily Iris and myself are still talking to each other. This year has also pushed us in directions and at a speed that we didn’t really think would happen this year.

From our taco home delivery kits, to a street food court in the back streets of Portsmouth and now to a full time residency at The Greenwich in Southsea we have managed to keep going.

All of which had its challenges along the way coupled in with all of the other challenges of lockdown and COVID, and hers’s the but. With every direction we have had to go and with everything we have had to learn along the way I feel that we have overcome these challenges (sometimes with a tear in our eye) and we have grown.

So with the new year nearly upon us I wonder what 2021 has in store for us, and hopefully we manage to get through it with the same determination that we did in 2020.
